Tips for Students to cope with Exam-related Stress

Some amount of stress is necessary and can enhance the performance of students by pushing them to tap their potential to the maximum extent. That being said, most students give in to excessive stress which is detrimental to optimal performance. Here are a few tips for students to better cope with stress if it starts affecting their academic results:



1. Students must inhale and exhale more frequently than usual and repeat this exercise whenever they feel overcome by stress.

2. The goals set by students, whether long-term or short-term should be achievable.

3. Nutrition is important, which makes being well nourished & hydrated necessary. Some amount of exercise, done on a regular basis, shall be beneficial too.

4. Studying in groups has been proven as a more beneficial way of assimilating facts and absorbing what is read and learnt from books and notes.


5. Having faith in oneself is necessary: It is necessary for students to realize that if they are well prepared for an exam, there is little reason for them to worry. It is therefore important to remain optimistic at all times for students.
